Highland stoicism

A rather dense aroma at first, we found lots of new leather, white flowers, furniture polish, beeswax and hessian. Also some notes of cod liver oil, mustard powder and chicken stock. With reduction it became sweeter and more playful, notes of Twister ice lollies, strawberries and cream and malt loaf. The neat palate displayed initial flavours of hot buttered wholegrain toast, tiger balm, floral waxiness and runny honey drizzled over mashed banana. Water brought a drier waxiness, aniseed, croissants with orange marmalade, heather ales and lanolin.
