Flavour Fireworks

Flavour Fireworks will invite plenty of ‘oohs and ahs’ as we take in the flavour spectacle! Our display kicks off with Cask No. 28.86 Autumn pursuits, a malt brimming with floral aromas, citrus sweetness, nuttiness and herbal spice that’s welcome all year round. Lively, complex and a perfect start to our tasting. Cask No. 68.83 Reverberating bass notes dials up the oak richness with a re-charred hogshead and boasts woody aromas and flavours complemented by maple, chocolate and toffee sweets for a bold second dram. We’re squarely in the delicious world of sherry maturation with Cask No. 30.122 Leather bag in the market. Maturation in Oloroso and a toasted and charred puncheon have imparted this malt with explosive baking spices, dried fruits and that beautiful nutty character we find when nosing a glass of Oloroso sherry. Divinely decadent whisky here! We shift gears to the islands for our final two drams. From the Orkney Islands, Cask No. 4.327 Party in an island smokehouse offers a fresh nose that evokes citrusy cocktails and sea spray. The palate delivers that trademark ‘heather and honey’ peat that we all love from distillery #4. From Islay, Cask No. 53.438 A coastal breeze provides an elegant ending to our flight. Sweet smoke, tar and ash combine with lemon citrus, smoked meats and herbs for a full-bodied sipper that will impress with complexity and integration. Your senses will be feeling the fireworks with this killer quintet showcasing five different flavor profiles!
